‘Self-Design to University Life(FRE808)’ is divided into 2 classes. Some students will be assigned to class 30 and some students will be assigned to class 31.

l'Practical Korean Language I' class will be conducted in Korean, not English.

l‘Intensive Korean’ is not on Course Registration system so there is no need to register ‘Intensive Korean’. It will be done by IBM Office.

3. Intensive Korean (For Freshmen)

‘Intensive Korean Language Class’is an extra-curriculum course provided as a benefit for the IBM students. It is mandatory for all IBM Students as it is designed to support your life in Korea. All IBM students must meet the 85% of attendance and pass the evaluation over 70% to get scholarship.

However, in the case of students who have obtained the TOPIK Test Level that is equivalent to or higher than the level of the intensive Korean class, the class for the students is recognized as PASS even if they do not attend the intensive Korean class. Based on the TOPIK Test Level, the criteria for calculating the intensive Korean class as PASS are as follows.

Grade

TOPIK Level

1

TOPIK I

Level 1 (80~139 point)

2

Level 2(140 pt or above)

3

TOPIK II

Level 3(120 pt or above)

Attendance

lIf you do not meet any of these requirements, you will not receive your scholarship even if you get good grades with your regular classes.

For Sophomore and Junior, intensive Korean classes are an option.
