Park, Hyun-Tae

Associate Professor Hyun-Tae Park, PhD

Biographical Information

He received his undergraduate and M.Sc. degree from the College of Sports Science in Dong-A University, in South Korea, and moved to the Japanese National Institute of Health and Nutrition for the research training. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Education at the University of Tokyo, Graduate school of Education.
He served Director of Motor Function Activation research section at the National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology, Japan. He has also served as Senior Research Scientist at the Tokyo Metropolitan Geriatric Hospital & Institute of Gerontology, after two-year- postgraduate training at the University of Tokyo.
Dr. Park is on the faculty of Graduate School of Dong-A University in Busan, Korea since 2014, and currently the Dean of the College of Health Science, at Dong-A University (2000-). He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters on exercise science and health promotion, and his current H-Index is 39.
His research focus on comprehensive strategies for healthy aging and community-based integrated healthcare system supporting people. His current interests are the development of non-pharmacological intervention strategies and digital therapeutics for dementia, musculoskeletal disorder, and frailty.
