Outbound Programs

1.

Conditions (파견조건)

-

During the student exchange period, students must pay the tuition fee of Dong-A university while the tuition fee of the partner institution is waived.

-

There would be some support for accommodations from the partner institutions.

(Depending on the situations, partner institutions may help finding dormitories or off-campus housing)

2.

Qualifications & Requirements (신청자격)

-

Those who are currently enrolled or already completed second semester and who can complete their last semester in Dong-A university.

-

Language Score

*

English: TOEIC 750 or above (in case the partner university does not accept TOEIC exam, minimum score of TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.5)

*

Japanese: minimum score of JLPT level 2 or JPT 560 (the requirements may differ by partner institutions, if necessary please consult with the person in charge)

*

Chinese: HSK level 4 or above or Chinese ability equivalent to HSK level 4

3.

Recruitment and Student Exchange Period (모집 및 파견시기)

-

Recruitment: Every semester(March and September), one semester before the actual student exchange semester

-

Student Exchange Period: One semester after the student is recruited (different by countries)

※

Scholarships for outbound exchange students

-

Scholarships from partner institution: Scholarship may be provided based on the MOU agreement

-

Japan Students Services Organization(JASSO) scholarship: Number of Scholars are determined based on the annual plans from Japanese universities

-

Exchange students to Japan can apply for the scholarship and it will be determined by Japanese universities (800,000 KRW/month)

-

Mirae Asset Exchange Student Scholarship: Scholarship from Mirae Asset Group which provide air plane fee, living costs and tuition (maximum amount of approx. 10,000USD/year)

Students must pay the tuition fee of both Dong-A university and partner institution within the study abroad semester

-

Tuition fee paid to Dong-A university will be refunded (excluding the amount covered by internal and external scholarships)

-

Credits can be transferred from the partner institutions

-

Partner university will support finding accommodations (according to partner institutions’ circumstances, they may assist finding dormitories or off-campus housing).

students who are currently on their 5th semester or those who already finished 5th semester and on a leave of absence

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and minimum of GPA 2.5 from previous semester

-

Students who are able to take courses in English (give preference to students with official English score)

This program is only for Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering majors

the United States, Western Michigan University(WMU)

Recruitment : Once a year (October)

-

Dispatch: one semester after the recruitment

-

students who are currently on their 4th semester or those who already finished 4th semester and on a leave of absence.

Minimum score of TOEFL iBT 80

-

Only Business Administration or Management Information System majors can apply for this program

2~3 credits can be transferred

Partner university will support finding accommodations (according to partner institutions’ circumstances, they may assist finding dormitories or off-campus housing).

Qualifications & Requirements (신청자격)

Minimum GPA of 2.5 from the previous semester

-

Students who completed at least two semesters (students who are currently on the leave of absence cannot apply)

Students who are currently on their last semester can apply but the credit will not be transferred.

-

No requirement for language exam score (there will be advantage for those with official language exam scores)

Recruitment and Student Dispatch Period (모집 및 파견시기)

Recruitment: Twice a year (April and October)

Dispatch and period: 4~6weeks during summer/winter breaks
