Dong-A University established the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) in 1999 to produce global professionals and researchers who could engage in the study of major regions of the world and become a central role in establishing an interdisciplinary research and industry-academic cooperation system in the fields of humanities and social sciences.
Dong-A University’s GSIS provides international studies with four distinct majors: Global Trade and Finance, Global Korean Studies, Global Multi-Cultural Studies, and Convergence Education. Our highly qualified graduate faculty members have significant academic backgrounds and practical experience teaching global and regional issues courses. In addition, GSIS invites high-level experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local governments. With such experts, we strive to develop students in ways where they have the skills to make valuable contributions to business, government, and academics with international perspectives and specialized practical skills.
For more than 20 years, Dong-A University’s GSIS has been producing experts in various international fields, such as international trade, international finance, international relations, international politics, and international law, as well as specializing in multicultural society and Korean studies.
The student body of GSIS is composed of students from around the world, including Korea, China, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Anglo-America, and Africa. Also, GSIS offers optimal administrative services providing various scholarships and funding opportunities. Alums are working in pivotal positions in public institutions, financial firms, global and regional corporations, and leading multicultural centers. In particular, our School provides top-notch lectures in multiculturalism, has produced numerous PhDs, and is working to cultivate the experts and infrastructure essential for Korea and the region to transition to a multicultural era.
With you, Dong-A GSIS will continue to do its best to lead the development of Korea and the region in the era of globalization.
Thank you
