Since multicultural societies are societies in which migrants or immigrants with different cultures and values live together, social conflicts and marginalization can occur, causing various problems for social integration. In this context, this course analyzes the problems that may arise in multicultural societies concerning social integration. It covers the theoretical foundations and policy models for integrating groups from different backgrounds. In addition, the course analyzes policy examples of multicultural social integration in various countries and examines social integration policies in Korea. Based on this, the implications for the role and function of school education for social integration are explored. |
