● Overview
Department of Computer Engineering at Dong-A University was founded in 1983. The department has 7 excellent professors and more than 20 graduate students, who are making continuous efforts in their research areas. Together the department has 9 TAs, and 2 administrative staffs to support teaching and research. Also to facilitate teaching and research, the department provides multimedia classrooms, SW design lab, HW design lab, SW experiment lab, and libraries. The department also covers fundamental computer areas such as Computer Architecture, Database, Algorithms, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Programming Language, and Information Retrieval.

- 1983 Aug. : Department of computer Engineering established in the College of Engineering
- 1988 Nov. : Department of computer Engineering established in the Graduate School of Industry
- 1996 Jan. : Department of Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronic Engineering merged to the School of Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Engineering
- 1997 Oct. : Department of computer Engineering established in the Graduate School
- 1999 Aug. : Brain Korea 21 was funded by the Ministry of Education
- 2000 Feb. : The best department in the area of Electrics, Elctronics, and Computers by Korean Council for University Education
- 2005 Mar. : Renamed to School of Electronic and Computer Engineering
- 2006 Mar. : Renamed to Department of computer Engineering
- 2006 Mar. : NEXT was funded by the Ministry of Information and Communication.
