Welcome to DAU EE

Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering in the School of Engineering, University of Dong-A, Busan, KOREA. Our Dept. was constructed since 1969. Its role and functions over 4 decades was substantially changed and is now evolving with IT technology.

The Field of Electrical Engineering

As you know, Electrical Engineering is a highly interdisciplinary department and is a prospective field with the Low -Carbon Green-Growth in the future. Futhermore, ubiquitous based AmI(Ambient Intelligence) age is coming. And it has a fine blend of renowned as well as young and dynamic personalities as faculty, is involved in providing ABEEK based high quality education at both Undergraduate (UG) and Graduate levels. Now we have 460 undergraduate students and 30 graduate students, and have 10 full time faculty members.

We build on a solid foundation of physical sciences, computer based industrial applications and applied mathematics, a broad knowledge of engineering techniques, and an understanding of how technologies can help us to innovate the future.

Therefore, the syllabi of the courses shall be continuously updated and the 4 basic UG laboratories modernized to reflect the remarkable changes in technology. It also offers high quality research in the MS and PhD programs.

It has a broad based Undergraduate curriculum and specialized Degree programs in design and analysis of Electrical Machinery and Power Electronics, Control Instrumentation and IT based Power Systems, and Material Sciences and Microelectronic Physics for sensors and actuators. We offer the breadth of education and depth of training necessary to make our graduates successful in their professional careers. Our faculty members engage in a long-standing tradition of excellent teaching, innovative research, and valuable public service activities; our department staff is devoted to helping students succeed.
