1. Mission
The GSD Department of Civil Engineering aims to cultivate skilled professionals who can practice the concept of Hongikingan (Humanitarianism), the founding philosophy of our university, in our modern society. In particular, it aims to foster competent engineers with sound citizenship and a sense of responsibility by equipping them with expertise required in managing national resources and building national infrastructure. In other words, our educational goal is to cultivate civil engineers who can freely discuss and pursue the truth under the school’s key teachings of freedom, truth and justice based on a sense of responsibility and the concept of social justice.
