Musicology and Culture

1. Mission

The GSD Department of Musicology & Culture focuses on the multi-directionality of music and expands its scope of research into music culture based on an interdisciplinary approach to musicology, humanities, sociology, education studies, business management and art engineering. Its main purpose is to cultivate integrated and knowledgeable music professionals who can understand and lead structural changes in art and culture in the face of a new environment. By doing so, it aims to create new careers in relevant fields and in future-oriented Korean music culture.
