Biographical information
Dr. Lee completed his Ph.D. study in Molecular Biology from Seoul National University in the Republic of Korea. He continued his carrier as a postdoctoral fellow and an instructor in the Department of Neuro-Oncology at the University Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas (2013 - 2019). Recently, he joined the Department of Health Sciences as the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Dong-A University in Busan, Korea (2019 - present). His research interests focus on cancer biology, specifically in the field of cancer metabolism and cancer immunology & therapy. To understand how cancer develops and progresses, he has investigated the metabolic alterations in cancer cells and tumor immune evasion as well as cross-talk between cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment. His findings greatly impact the field of cancer research and has been published by the highly impactful peer-reviewed journals, including Nature, Cancer Discovery, Nature Cell Biology, Molecular cell, Nature Communications, and the Journal of Experimental Medicine.
